What Is Exploitation?

Financial exploitation refers to the deception or intimidation of a person in order to gain access to money or property. It could also refer to the unlawful obtaining of money or property while the owner is unable to consent.
Penalties
Oklahoma considers crimes against the elderly to be felony offenses. If convicted, an offender could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
A conviction of sexual abuse of an elderly person could result in up to 15 years in prison.
